Pharmacological Properties
Belalgin exhibits antispasmodic, antacid, and analgesic effects.
The M-cholinolytic action of belladonna extract reduces the tone and motor activity of the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract and other organs and decreases exocrine gland secretion. The analgesic effect of the medication is due to the combined action of metamizole sodium and the local anesthetic benzocaine. Sodium bicarbonate neutralizes free hydrochloric acid in the stomach.
