Description

Pharmacological Properties
Kofalgin is a combined medicinal product whose action is due to the properties of its components.
Sodium Metamizole – a non-opioid analgesic-antipyretic, a derivative of pyrazolone, exhibits analgesic, antipyretic, and weak anti-inflammatory effects, primarily acting by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system.
Caffeine – a methylxanthine derivative, stimulates the psychomotor centers of the brain, enhancing the analgesic effect of sodium metamizole, reducing drowsiness and fatigue, and improving physical and mental performance.

Special Warnings and Precautions
Long-term use is not recommended. Do not use the drug for acute abdominal pain (until the cause is identified).
Since sodium metamizole has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, it may mask the signs of infections, non-infectious diseases, and complications with pain symptoms, making diagnosis difficult.

Use the drug with caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal ulcer disease.
Do not use the drug beyond the prescribed period without medical consultation!

The use of the drug during pregnancy is contraindicated. If necessary, breastfeeding should be discontinued.

Dosage and Administration
For adults and children aged 14 years and older: Take 1 tablet 2-3 times daily. Do not chew the tablets; swallow with a small amount of water. The maximum daily dose is 3 tablets.
The duration of treatment should not exceed 3 days.
If symptoms persist for more than 3 days, consult a doctor regarding further use of the medication.

Pediatric Use
Do not prescribe the drug to children under 14 years of age.
