Active substances

Benzocaine – 300 mg,
Thick belladonna extract – 15 mg.

Indications for use
  • Spasms of smooth muscles in the gastrointestinal tract;
  • Spasms of the bile ducts;
  • Hypersecretory gastritis (gastritis with increased acidity);
  • Hypersalivation (excessive salivation).
Medicinal form

Tablets, 10 tablets per blister, 1 blister per pack.

Description

Pharmacological Properties
Belastezin (thick belladonna extract) is a combined preparation that includes belladonna extract and benzocaine (anesthesin). It has analgesic and antispasmodic effects. The analgesic effect is due to benzocaine, a local anesthetic, while the antispasmodic effect is provided by belladonna. Belastezin is classified as an antispasmodic agent and is used for treating conditions related to the stomach and intestines.
Special Precautions
Before starting treatment with Belastezin tablets, consult a doctor.
If persistent or worsening abdominal pain of unclear origin is accompanied by symptoms such as fever, nausea, vomiting, changes in bowel movements, low blood pressure, fainting, or blood in the stool, medical consultation is required.
Do not exceed the recommended doses of the medication. Use the lowest effective dose necessary.
Dosage and Administration
For adults: take 1 tablet orally 3 times a day. Swallow the tablet without chewing and drink with a sufficient amount of water.
Belastezin is intended for short-term use. If symptoms do not resolve within 3-5 days, consult a doctor regarding further use of the medication.
Children
There is no clinical data on the safety and efficacy of Belastezin for children. Therefore, the use of this medication is not recommended for children.
